Not local, and we will not pretend otherwise
We have no office in St. Johns County, no local phone number and no Ponte Vedra mailing address. What we do have is the same state, the same time zone and a four-person studio where the people on your kickoff call are the people who build the work. Kickoff is on video, the monthly review has the numbers in front of both of us, and a site visit is a day trip we quote openly rather than a promise we cannot keep.
If you need someone at your office this afternoon, hire a Jacksonville or St. Augustine firm. If you want a site and a search strategy built by people who understand how this particular market searches, keep reading.
The one fact that should shape how you market here: “Ponte Vedra” is two places
Ponte Vedra Beach is ZIP code 32082. Ponte Vedra is 32081, a second ZIP the Postal Service created in June 2006 for the area south and southwest of the original community. The 32081 area now takes in much of Nocatee, parts of Palm Valley and Ponte Vedra High School.
Historically nobody separated the two names. Now they describe different neighbourhoods with different housing and, often, different customers. A homeowner in a newer Nocatee house and a homeowner in an older oceanfront property off A1A type different searches for the same trade.
Neither is a city. Both are unincorporated parts of St. Johns County, so there is no Ponte Vedra city hall, and permits, business tax receipts and zoning questions all run through the county. Your site should use the place names people actually search, Ponte Vedra Beach, Ponte Vedra, Nocatee, Palm Valley and Sawgrass, while being accurate that the county is who you answer to.
What the numbers say about who is searching
The Ponte Vedra census county division had 33,550 residents in the Census Bureau’s 2020–2024 five-year estimates, in 14,079 households. The median age is 47.6.
Median household income is $127,415 and per capita income is $88,044. The median home value is $770,700, and 4.8% of residents live below the poverty line.
71.2% of adults hold a bachelor’s degree or higher. That is an audience that reads carefully, compares providers and notices when a site is vague. Specific scope, plain pricing language and real photographs of your own work beat adjectives here every time.
It is also an audience that expects the same finish from a website that it expects from a contractor. A slow, template-looking site is a cheap signal in a market where very little else is cheap.
Golf is not a cliché here. It is an employer
TPC Sawgrass has been the permanent home of THE PLAYERS Championship since 1982, and the PGA TOUR’s headquarters is in Ponte Vedra Beach. Its Global Home, a 187,000-square-foot campus that opened in 2021, brought together staff who had been spread across 17 separate locations in the area.
The St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce expected the 2026 tournament to generate roughly $150 million in economic impact for Northeast Florida, about $40 million of it direct, with more than 200,000 unique visitors. The tournament typically raises $8 million to $9 million a year for local charities.
For a local business that means a genuine spike every March: hospitality, short-term rentals, transport, catering, event services, photography and retail all see it. It also means a year-round professional community around the TOUR, from agents and financial advisers to sports medicine and corporate services, that hires on reputation. Plan campaigns around tournament week months ahead, not the week before.
Schools move families, and families move the trades
St. Johns County School District was ranked No. 1 in Florida for 2025–26, with an A grade and 910 of a possible 1,200 accountability points, reclaiming the title from Nassau County after a year.
That ranking is one of the reasons families choose northern St. Johns County, and it shows in what people search for. New arrivals have no plumber, no roofer, no dentist and no pediatrician yet. They search, they read reviews, and they pick someone soon after moving in. A business that shows up clearly for Nocatee and Ponte Vedra searches in that window can keep the customer for years.
The wider construction picture is on our Jacksonville page, including why so much of the region’s residential building has moved south of the Duval County line.
Who we work with here
Home services and residential trades working Nocatee, Palm Valley and the beach communities. Medical, dental and wellness practices. Financial advisers, wealth managers and attorneys. Real estate agents and teams specialising in oceanfront and golf-community property. Restaurants and retail along A1A. Hospitality, event and rental businesses that plan around THE PLAYERS calendar. Golf and sports businesses serving the industry headquartered here.
How it applies in Ponte Vedra
Websites built to be fast, clear and specific, with your own photographs, plainly stated scope and a phone number that is easy to find on a phone.
Local SEO that treats Ponte Vedra Beach, Ponte Vedra, Nocatee and Palm Valley as separate searches, rather than one blended “Jacksonville area” campaign that ranks for nothing in particular.
Lead capture and quote calculators so a new homeowner can get a ballpark price at 10pm without waiting for a callback.
AI chatbots that answer the common questions about service area, availability and pricing while you are on a job.
Plus digital marketing, graphic design and social media timed around the tournament and the school calendar.
A little history that still shows up in search
The area began as Mineral City after titanium, zircon and rutile were found in 1914. The National Lead Company bought the mining operation in 1921, began developing a resort in 1929 and renamed the community Ponte Vedra, after Pontevedra on Spain’s Atlantic coast. It sits on San Pablo Island, about 18 miles southeast of downtown Jacksonville and 26 miles north of St. Augustine.
That matters for one practical reason: people search from both directions. A Ponte Vedra business can win customers from the Jacksonville side and from St. Augustine, but only if its site says clearly which areas it serves.
Questions from Ponte Vedra businesses
The things worth settling before you get in touch.
Whichever your customers are actually in, and usually both. They are separate ZIP codes and separate searches. If you serve Nocatee, name Nocatee as well.
