Where we work

Web Design & SEO in Palmetto, Florida

Wavefront Studio builds websites, SEO and lead systems for businesses in Palmetto — on 10th Avenue West, along US 41 and US 301, around SeaPort Manatee and out toward the Riverside Drive waterfront. We are half an hour south in Sarasota.

Not sure how you rank in Palmetto right now?

We will audit your site for free and tell you what is actually holding it back in Palmetto — including if the answer is that you do not need a rebuild.

Palmetto is not growing by population. It is growing by capital.

This is the thing to understand about marketing here, and almost nobody says it.

Palmetto’s population is around 13,650 and growing at roughly 0.67% a year — about 2.45% total since 2020. On paper that is a flat market. But the money going into the ground is not flat at all:

  • $1.7 million in streetscape upgrades on 10th Avenue West
  • $4.4 million renovating the Palmetto Women’s Club
  • $170,000 in storefront and facade grants for local businesses, plus an ongoing CRA

facade grant program

  • An eight-story mixed-use building at 10th Avenue and Riverside Drive West —

75 apartments, 30,000-plus square feet of retail, 400 covered parking spaces

  • 8,000 square feet of new retail at the Palmetto Marriott Resort, opening around

December 2026

  • A $53 million convention-center-linked investment projected to return roughly

$30 million annually

  • Brownfield remediation at the Slicks and Heartland Fertilizer sites, a Gulf Islands

Ferry stop, Connor Park redevelopment and about 22 acres of oyster habitat restoration

So the customer count is not rising much, but the customer quality, the foot traffic and the reason to come downtown all are. That is a genuinely different marketing problem from North Port’s, and it calls for a different answer: capture share and raise average transaction value, rather than chase new arrivals.

What else we know about doing business in Palmetto

It is a working city, and the most economically mixed market on our list. Median household income $62,621, poverty 13.5%, homeownership 68.8%. Median property value $313,400 — but up 22.1% year over year, a big jump on a modest base.

23.7% Hispanic or Latino. Alongside Bradenton, this is one of only two markets on our list where Spanish-language marketing is a genuine competitive lever rather than a box-tick. For contractors, food businesses, auto services and anything ag-adjacent, it is close to essential.

Least seasonal market we work in. Port, agriculture and logistics run year round. Florida’s tomato season is winter and spring, so ag-adjacent businesses do peak roughly alongside snowbird season — but for entirely unrelated reasons, and they do not collapse in July the way a beach business does.

Palmetto faces Tampa, not Sarasota. Different county, different metro identity, north-of-the-bay orientation. A Palmetto business owner does not think of themselves as being in “the Sarasota market”, and marketing that assumes otherwise reads wrong. We work from Sarasota; we do not write Palmetto copy as though it were South Sarasota.

Who we work with in Palmetto

Agriculture, produce packing and shipping — the historic core of this economy and still real. Pacific Tomato Growers and West Coast Tomato are both here. Trucking, freight brokerage, drayage and warehousing feeding SeaPort Manatee. Marine and waterfront services around Riviera Dunes and Regatta Pointe. Contractors and skilled trades working the CRA projects and county-wide growth. Restaurants and independent retail on and around 10th Avenue West. Hospitality and events tied to the convention center and the fairgrounds.

SeaPort Manatee, and why it matters even if you are not in logistics

The port moved 11,855,828 tons of cargo in FY2025 — an all-time record in its 55-year history — with roughly $7.3 billion in annual economic activity and 42,000-plus direct and indirect jobs. Ten deep-draft berths. The closest US deepwater seaport to the expanded Panama Canal. It restarted fuel distribution within hours of Hurricane Milton’s landfall in October 2024.

That volume supports a whole second tier of businesses — equipment service, industrial supply, workforce services, food, fuel, maintenance — and most of them market badly or not at all. If you sell to or around the port, B2B search here is unusually under-contested.

What we build

Bilingual websites with human translation, separate indexed Spanish pages and proper hreflang. Not a translate widget.

Local SEO that treats Palmetto, Ellenton, Parrish and Terra Ceia as the separate search markets they are, rather than lumping them under Bradenton.

B2B lead systems for port, logistics and agricultural suppliers — long sales cycles, small buyer pools, high contract values. Completely different from consumer marketing and usually handled badly by agencies that only do consumer work.

Custom calculators and quoting tools for trades and suppliers.

Plus graphic design, social media and AI chatbots in English and Spanish.

One piece of local knowledge, offered as proof we did the reading

The Bradenton Area Convention Center is physically in Palmetto, not Bradenton. Every local knows this. Almost every out-of-town agency gets it wrong. If a marketing partner cannot get that right, ask what else they have not checked.

Common questions

Is Palmetto too small to be worth a dedicated marketing effort? For consumer businesses relying on population alone, it is a modest market. For anything serving the port, agriculture, logistics, or the redevelopment pipeline, the addressable value is far larger than the population implies — and competition for search visibility is far lower than in Bradenton or Sarasota.

Do I really need a Spanish version? Nearly a quarter of the city is Hispanic or Latino. If you are in the trades, food, automotive or anything ag-adjacent, yes. If you are a B2B logistics supplier selling to corporate procurement, probably not. We will tell you which you are.

Should I market as Palmetto or Bradenton? Palmetto, primarily — it is its own city with its own identity and much lower competition. Add Bradenton as a secondary if your service area genuinely crosses the river.

We’re a port supplier. Does SEO even apply to us? More than you would think. Procurement research starts with search like everything else, and your competitors’ websites are usually a decade old. It is one of the least contested B2B search environments we work in.

What does it cost? Websites start in the low five figures; bilingual builds add to that. SEO is monthly. We quote after a conversation and we scope to what will actually pay back.
