Web Design & SEO for Las Vegas, Nevada
Wavefront Studio builds websites, SEO and lead systems for Las Vegas businesses. We are a four-person studio in Sarasota, Florida, working with you remotely.
We are three time zones away, and that is the thing to decide about
No Las Vegas office. And unlike the eastern metros we work in, the distance here is real in a practical sense: Sarasota is on Eastern time, Las Vegas on Pacific, a three-hour gap.
We would rather tell you exactly how that plays out than pretend it does not exist.
- Our workday overlaps yours from 6am to 2pm your time. That is a full eight hours of
live overlap, which is more than most people expect
- Anything you send after 2pm Pacific is answered first thing the next morning — your
morning, our midday
- Every call is scheduled inside the overlap, and we schedule around your morning
rather than ours
- Kickoff is ninety minutes on video with the people doing the work, not a handoff
The honest version: if your business runs on evening decisions and you need someone reachable at 7pm Pacific, we are not that. If your day starts at seven and the important conversations happen before lunch, the three hours work in your favor — the work happens overnight and lands before you open.
Las Vegas is the steadiest construction market in this program
Every other metro we work in is either correcting or squeezed. Clark County is neither, and the permit record is unusually flat:
- 13,903 in 2019
- 14,100 in 2020
- 16,307 in 2021
- 13,066 in 2022
- 13,073 in 2023
- 14,754 in 2024
- 14,466 in 2025
Seven straight years inside a 13,000–16,000 band (US Census Bureau Building Permits Survey). For comparison, Davidson County in Nashville fell 65% over the same stretch and Mecklenburg County in Charlotte fell 48%.
Specialty trade contractors — the actual buyer segment, excluding heavy civil and general contractors — ran 61,344 in July 2026 against 59,347 a year before, up 3.4%, after twelve straight months of growth off a December 2025 trough (BLS).
Roofers, electricians, plumbers, HVAC, concrete and landscape are hiring, and the work is steady. That changes the marketing brief: this is not a market where you are fighting over a shrinking pool. It is one where consistent visibility compounds, because the demand is reliably there next quarter too.
The heat is a business input, not weather chat
Clark County hit a record 120°F on July 7, 2024, tied the following day, and recorded 77 days at or above 100°F in 2025. Heat-related deaths fell from 513 in 2024 to 284 in 2025, with August the peak month (Southern Nevada Health District).
That drives an entire service economy — HVAC, shade structures, cool-deck coatings, window film, pool service, irrigation, roof coatings — with demand that spikes hard and predictably. Where most Las Vegas sites fail is not design: it is that a search at 6am in July for emergency HVAC reaches a form that gets read at ten.
The 600-square-foot rule that redirected an entire trade
In July 2022 the Clark County and Las Vegas Valley Water District board voted to cap new residential pools at 600 square feet, effective September 1, 2022. Existing pools were grandfathered, and by the county’s own account about 75% of valley pools were already at or under 600 square feet.
The commercial consequence is specific and under-exploited: with new construction capped, spend moved toward resurfacing, deck renovation, shade and equipment replacement on a very large existing installed base. A pool company still marketing itself primarily as a builder is marketing to a capped segment. The renovation and service search terms are a different, larger, less contested set — and we would build the site around those.
We know this category from the inside. Wavefront is the digital arm of a group whose other businesses are in resin-bound surfacing, rubber safety surfaces and decorative coatings — Resin Rock, Resin Rubber and Glow Surfaces. Pool decks, patios and hardscape are not a vertical we researched for this page. They are what the rest of the company does.
Nevada licensing is the strictest in the country, and it is a marketing asset
Most states ask for experience and a bond. Nevada asks for considerably more (Nevada State Contractors Board):
- Four full years of journeyman, supervisory or contractor experience in the specific
classification, obtained within the fifteen years immediately preceding application
- A financial statement at every monetary limit — including the lowest tier. Most
states require none below a threshold. At $1 million or above it must be CPA-reviewed or audited
- Bonds from $1,000 to $500,000, set on license type, monetary limit, financial
responsibility, experience and character
- **Pool and spa contractors carry an additional consumer-protection bond of $10,000 to
$400,000** — a second bond stacked on the license bond, specific to that trade
- A trade exam and a Business and Law exam, with **three attempts maximum. A third failure
voids the application entirely**
Think about what that means for your website. A licensed Las Vegas contractor has cleared a CPA-reviewed financial statement, two bonds and a three-strikes exam. That is a credential almost no consumer knows exists — and almost no Las Vegas contractor site explains it.
It is also the strongest argument against being shopped on price alone. If your prospect does not know what the license took, they compare you to whoever answers cheapest. If your site explains it, the comparison changes.
Who actually employs people here
Worth correcting a common assumption: the two largest employers in Clark County are not casinos. Nellis Air Force Base and Clark County government are both in the 10,000-plus band, above every resort. LVMPD, MGM Grand, Caesars Palace, Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas Sands, the Flamingo and the Orleans sit at 5,000 to 9,999, with UNLV between 1,000 and 4,999 (Nevada DETR, 2024).
Meanwhile the visitor economy remains enormous — 38.5 million visitors and 6 million convention attendees in 2025 (LVCVA) — but leisure and hospitality lost 3,000 jobs between June and July 2026, while professional services and health care led statewide growth above 4% (Nevada DETR, August 20, 2026).
The businesses worth building for are mostly in the second group: the services and trades serving a stable resident population and a large public and military payroll, not the resorts themselves.
On price, plainly
We are not cheaper because we are in Florida, and the federal data says so.
BEA Regional Price Parities for 2024 put Las Vegas at 100.2 and North Port–Sarasota–Bradenton at 102.4, against a national 100. Sarasota is about 2.2% more expensive than Las Vegas. In 2023 the gap was nearly six points, in the same direction.
The difference that is real has nothing to do with states. Published rates in the Las Vegas market cluster at $100–$149 an hour with a tier above at $150–$199 and minimums running to $75,000. Those numbers reflect headcount and overhead. We are four people. That is the comparison, and it holds regardless of geography.
The verticals we take in Las Vegas
- Pool, deck, hardscape and coatings — the renovation and resurfacing market the
600-square-foot cap created, and the category the rest of our group works in daily
- HVAC and heat-response trades, where demand spikes are sharp and response time
decides the job
- Licensed specialty contractors whose Nevada credentials are doing no work on their
current site
- B2B services selling into the resort supply chain — uniform, linen, commercial
kitchen, signage, AV, security
- Professional and healthcare services, the two fastest-growing sectors in the state
What we build
Web design that loads on a phone in a hot truck with two bars of signal. SEO aimed at renovation, service and emergency intent rather than head terms. Local SEO and Google Business Profile work — for a Las Vegas trades business the map pack is frequently the whole channel. And the lead systems behind it, so a 6am enquiry is not read at ten.
The response window, and why three time zones actually help
More than 55% of customers expect a response within the hour, and only about 20% of businesses deliver it (Jobber, n=1,050). Harvard Business Review, across 2,241 companies, found 23% never respond at all.
Here is the part that is specific to you. Your competitors are all in Pacific time. When an enquiry lands at 5:30am your time — and in July, on a heat call, plenty do — most of them are asleep. We are already at our desks. Automated first response, routing and escalation get built to exploit exactly that gap.
Common questions
Do you have a Las Vegas office? No. We are in Sarasota, Florida, three hours ahead. We would rather tell you that than list a Rainbow Boulevard suite number we do not occupy.
How do we work across three time zones? Our day overlaps yours 6am to 2pm Pacific — eight live hours. We schedule every call in your morning. Anything after 2pm gets answered first thing the next day, and we say so upfront rather than leaving you guessing.
Do you actually know the pool and deck trade? Yes, and not from research. Wavefront is the digital arm of a group whose other businesses are resin-bound surfacing, rubber safety surfacing and decorative coatings. Pool decks and hardscape are the family business.
Are you cheaper because Florida is cheaper? No. BEA data puts Sarasota about 2.2% above Las Vegas on overall prices. The difference is that we are four people rather than forty.
What does it cost? Websites start in the low five figures; SEO is a monthly retainer. We will tell you what it takes to compete in your category in Las Vegas before you commit to anything.
